OUR MISSION
Feel Sh!tty Look Pretty's mission is to advocate for and provide education about the invisible illness community.
According to the 2022 Global Report on Health Equity For Persons with Disabilities, 1 in 6 people live with a disability¹, and 70-80% of those disabilities are invisible.²
Disabled individuals are more likely to experience issues with low self-esteem and depression, and disability acceptance directly correlates with higher levels of self-esteem.³
There is so much bigotry and misinformation about the disabled population that causes people who are struggling with their health to reject the "disabled identity." Refusing to acknowledge and accept one's disability is shown to negatively impact mental health.³
Therefore, we aim to paint labels like "disabled", "chronically ill", and "mentally ill" with gold, confidence, and colors. We encourage you to see these labels as VIP invitations to an exclusive new club filled with people waiting to embrace you.
Welcome to Feel Sh!tty Look Pretty, where humor and joy take precedent, and creating community is our calling.
A percentage of each purchase is donated to further our mission.
We support the following organizations:
Patients Rising's Patient Helpline
The Ehlers Danlos Society
The Invisible Disabilities Association
